Starting Series generates the error "A USER LICENSE ERROR OCCURRED ERROR -14 STARTING SERIES"

Solution #1

At the point where the Series install returns to Windows to build the icons in the Mitchell Repair group, the user double clicked on the program icon. This caused the install to fail.

Reinstall Series 1 or Series 2 and this time when the install program asks for disk 1 at the end of the install wait for the install program to say:

"INSTALLATION COMPLETE, YOU MAY RUN THE PROGRAM BY DOUBLE CLICKING ON THE MMS SERIES 1 PROGRAM ICON."

"CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO YOUR AUTOEXEC.BAT OR CONFIG.SYS YOU NEED TO RESTART THE COMPUTER" before pulling out the #1 disk.

Solution #2
The user created an invalid shortcut to the program on the desktop. Try starting the program from Start>Programs>Mitchell Repair> MMS Series * Program.
