Symptom

You immediately get an error during installation with Windows 95

Solution #1

Delete the windows\temp directory.

Solution #2

Remove any antivirus programs, and any 'install management' programs. For example: Norton Antivirus, McAfee Antivirus, CleanSweep, Uninstaller..etc.

Solution #3

Possible incompatible video driver. Replace the video driver with standard display types\svga. For HP computers, also change the monitor type to svga. If the installation successfully installs, remove the video driver under the Device Manager, and restart the system. The computer will automatically install the original video driver.

Problem drivers are: Matrox MGA Mystique PowerDesk, S3 TRIO BD REV B.
