Error: Cannot Copy Carbidx.idx General Use - Updated 07/19/00 Product Version 4.x Symptom Get error message when try and register DVD 99/01, Gen Util:
Cannot copy carbidx.idx. Solution #1 Check and see if there DVD is one of the recommended drives. The DVD drive may not be configured properly. Check to see if they have DVD Rom drivers, and that there are no conflicts (exclamation marks) under hard disk controllers both under the system properties\device manager. Try replacing the cdfs.vxd file This should resolve errors with 98/04 and new DVD's
