How To Check Which CD Is The Drive While Viewing An Article Or Figure

General Use - Updated 10/26/00

Product
On-Demand 4 Repair

Version

4.x

Symptom

How to check which CD is currently in the CD-Rom drive while you are viewing an article or figure.

Solution

Press CTRL-F while in an article or figure and you will be given a message specifying which file on which cd you are accessing.

This may be helpful when a customer gets the message "could not open file x:\path\filename."  If the customer can direct us to the particular article/figure he was trying to access, we can press CTRL-F to find out which file the customer is having difficulty accessing.
