The Current Parts Expert Class ID Is Not Valid General Use - Updated 08/01/02 Product Version 5.x Symptom Get message "The current Parts Expert Class ID is not valid" when trying to run MLicense.exe from key diskette. Solution The user has a previous version of ShopCat installed on the computer. The previous version of ShopCat uses the same Lic.lc file. That Lic.lc file has the License information for the previous version of ShopCat (like the Class ID, Customer Name, License Class, and Date Created...). Copy the Lic.lc file from ShopCat key diskette and overwrite the previous Lic.lc file. Now when trying to open CatalogAssign, it says to run ILicnese.exe. The ILicense.exe is similar to MRICAUTH.exe, it requires a Key Reset Code from ShopCat. When running the ILicense.exe, it asks to fix and repair the License File. When clicking yes, it updates the License file. This will allow running the MLicense.exe from key diskette and run CatalogAssign.
