I have installed
Transmission on one of my workstations.
How can I setup Transmission to use a
networked CD-ROM drive?
Perform the
steps listed below to use a CD-ROM drive
from another system.
- If Transmission' is
open please close the program. Go to
Start then click 'Find(Win95
and Win98 Operating Systems)'.
- Click on 'Files and
Folder' in the 'Named' field type in
'Mirepair.ini' then in the 'Look in'
field choose 'C:'. Now click on the
button that is labeled 'Find Now'.
- This system should
now be searching for the 'Mirepair.ini'.
After the 'Mirepair.ini' file is found,
double click on the picture and it should
open note pad. In notepade you will
see all the text in the 'Mirepair.ini'
file.
- Now edit the 'Mirepair.ini'
located in the windows directory. Under
the [On-Demand Transmission] category,
put this drive letter assignment at
the very end, 'drive1=X:' where drive
X is your mapped cdrom drive.
- Save the file and
exit. When you open Transmission you
should be able to access the CD-Rom
drive on the network.

When I try to open
Transmission I receive the following OLE
interface error. 'Failed to create dispatch
for AcroExchApp. Please check registry
to see if entry AcroEchange app exists.'
What should I do to fix this problem?
Perform the
steps listed below to resove this problem.
There may have been a problem installing
the Adobe Acrobat Exchange program.
- Contact technical
support for a reset code to re-install
the entire program.
- In many cases re-installing
only the Acrobat Exchange program will
resolve the issue. The Acrobat Exchange
setup.exe is located in the ACROEXCH
directory on the first transmission
cd. Use this serial#KKW300R7100002-100-473
when requested by AcroExchange.

Articles displayed
in On-Demand Transmission are gibberish
(hieroglyphics). Oil flow diagrams look
just fine. What should I do to fix this
problem?
- Click 'Start' move
to settings and then click 'Control
Panel'.
- After opening 'Control
Panel' double click to open the Fonts
dialog box.
- Check font listing
for On Demand Table(odtable.ttf).
- If it is not listed
download the On Demand Table by clicking
on this link odtable.ttf
(If it is listed delete it and reinstall
it.).
- After you have downloaded
the odtable.ttf file to your computer
perform the remaining steps
- Add odtable.ttf to
listed fonts by clicking on 'File' and
choosing 'Install New Font'.
- In the add fonts dialog
box change the drive and directory to
where you have copied the odtable.ttf.
- Highlight On Demand
Table (TrueType)
- Click OK.
- Recheck list for On
Demand Table.

I
have received my new updates. How do
I register?
To
Register the Repair Data
- First insert the #1
Transmission CD in the CD-ROM drive.
- Open Transmission.(If
the Transmission program is already
open please go to step 3.) Proceed
to step 3.
- After inserting the
needed CD into the computer click on
'Setup'. After choosing 'Setup' click
on 'Registration'. The 'Product Registration'
box should open and list the CD disk
number(TRN01-1 Service and Repair).
Now click on the button labeled 'Register
Selected Products'. If the box is gray
then click on the white boxes under
'Register' located to the left of the
product. After the boxes have been checked
you should be able to click the 'Register
Selected Products' button.
